How can I be treated using a telehealth visit?
Our physical therapist will be able to discuss your symptoms and assess your progress during the telehealth visit just like we would in an office visit. We will evaluate you by asking you to perform specific movements and we’ll assess how your body responds. We can then instruct you in exercises to perform and provide feedback on how to do them correctly. You will receive access to our online portal to view your home exercise program and track your progress. We will also discuss strategies to minimize your symptoms during your recovery.
How long will each visit be?
Each visit will be approximately 30 minutes in length.
Can I contact my therapist between sessions?
You can contact your therapist securely through our HIPAA compliant home exercise program portal. If you choose to email your therapist directly, please be aware that we will make every effort to keep your communication private, however, email communication may not meet HIPAA standards.
What devices do I need to use?
You will need a desktop or laptop computer with a camera and a web browser, or a smartphone with a web browser. Our sessions will be performed using a secure HIPAA compliant platform. You will receive an email with a link to your physical therapist’s virtual waiting room. Once you have checked in, your therapist will begin your session shortly.
Is this covered by my insurance?
Your insurance may cover telehealth but not all do. As part of the telehealth program, we will verify your insurance coverage to determine if telehealth for physical therapy is a covered service.
What will this cost me?
Prior to your first telehealth visit, we will collect your credit card information. Your credit card information will be securely kept on file on our merchant service processor’s website. If telehealth is a covered service by your insurance company, we will begin billing your insurance company and collect a copay or deductible payment on your second telehealth visit. Your copay or deductible will be charged to your credit card at the time of service.
If telehealth is not a covered service by your insurance company, you are welcome to cash pay.
